Las Vegas-based gaming and hospitality company, Boyd Gaming Corporation, has completed its $170 million acquisition of Pala Interactive.
Pala Interactive provides online real money and social gaming B2B platforms for regulated markets, and counts brands including betway, Kindred, Unibet, World Poker Tour, SBTech, Gamesys Group, JPJ Group, and Wind Creek Hospitality among its partners.
The company’s in-house development studio has created a range of casino games covering blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, and craps, while its game library also includes hundreds of slots and virtual sports titles.
Boyd Gaming announced its intention to acquire Pala Interactive back in March of this year, as part of its strategy to harness the growth of online gaming in the US, as land-based casino operators expand their iGaming offering.
Founded in 1975, by Sam Boyd, who entered the industry as a lowly Vegas dealer in 1941, by 2021 Boyd Gaming was a 28-property gaming empire generating $3.4 billion a year (2021, according to Wikipedia).
